Saturday 18th April
We were woken up pretty early by george lifting our whole campervan up with his tractor, uite amusing really as i had never been woken up like this before. But it woke us up and we headed in for some bacon and eggs which was pretty good. We chilled out for most of the moring feeding george's new calves and and horses and then headed down to walcha after lunch for some rugby. George had asked the local team manager if we could maybe get a game so we pitched up and where stuck on the bench for the 2nd team which was pretty good really. we didnt end up getting a game but we got a few beers and chilled out in the clubhouse afterwards. george was very generous keeping the beers flowing all afternoon. We then went over to his mates house and watched the warathas loose to the western force over a beer and a burger and then cruised home in one of georges trucks.
Sunday 19th April
We woke up early again as george had got some of his rifles out so we did an aussie against POMs shooting contest! And guess who won!! We did, the aussies cant shoot for s***! haha! We then defaced the used targets with various slogans to do with world cup rugby and hung them on the wall in georges bedroom! that got a few laughs! We then just chilled out for most of the arfternoon taking in the amazing scenery of george's 2,000 acre farm in the middle of nowhere 1200m above sea level!
Monday 20th April
George took us around his farm for most of the morning, with a rifle in the front of course to take out any roos (which are pests by the way). I managed to get one right in the head from 30 yards with george's .22! Awesome, my first roo kill so george put roo blood on my forehead!! We then headed back to the farm and got ready to leave. George had to tow us out because we were bogged to he pulled us up the hill with his tractor which was pretty funny! We then said our goodbyes and drove 450km to byron bay where we arrived late ish, got on the goon and headed down for another awesome night out at cheecky monkeys. Which ended up in slater not getting there as he fell asleep on a bench trying to call his mum, guy getting thrown out and me playing rugby with a massive northerner in the street for half an hour. This was not the cleverest thing i ve done travelling as i woke up the next morning covered in cuts and bruises!!
