Hello!

So it's my second day, its really really weird! Bangkok is not a place I can sum up in words. I was tired and jet lagged and went to Koh San Road for a drink. It was over whelming. I was just sitting there trying to take it all in, its like another planet or something.

Anyway...When I landed I got in a taxi to Nappark. The taxi had no seat belts in the back which made me slightly nervous anyway, but even more so when we moved. I have always thought drivers abroad are a bit crazy but this was something else, I swear a car nearly ploughed into the side of me so many times. Once at the hostel I felt really lost, like I was here and I didnt really know what to do with myself. Me and my plane buddy Sam went to get some food and wondered round. Under 2 pounds for 2 large beers and dinner. I am trying so hard to like beer as its so cheap.

We came back to the hostel, and chilled out, ended up drinking more beer and playing charades with some people..beers turned to gin that was it! I was an emotional wreck! haha. I feel better now after a good sleep and some skyping with the parents. I visited a temple with Sam and an Ozzy lady, and was going to go to the Grand Palace but it was closed so I will go again tomorrow. I am sat with a Chang yapping to a girl and boy and they are really nice.

Its so so hot here, but not really sunny, but that would make it worse. My room is lovely, the hostel is clean, friendly and social so I am really glad I am here. I am making the most of the free wifi as I'm not sure what the internet situaiton in Chiang Mai. I am going on a bus to Chiang Mai on Thursdat with some people I have met then going to Laos to meet another girl at the weekend hopefully.
