Hello all, back on the blog once again.
Less countries & not as long as the previous blog but I am sure shall prove very memorable.
Holiday started like any other saying goodbye to Keith in the Brandling.
Today I was kindly dropped off at central station & after a quick Burger King boarded the train. It was at this point I realised that the ticket Alan Wilson had provided for me was in first class. Needless to say this made the journey much more enjoyable. With steak pie to accompany my wine & a couple of ciders, I arrived in London in good spirits. I was glad I did have three bottles of water as well mind.
I reached the hotel promptly. The underground seems a doddle compared to the Sydney rail system.
The hotel itself is located right next to Stamford Bridge, and the room was fantastic. I was tempted not to leave but felt I best to some sight seeing.
I arranged to meet Laura by the monument as it seemed quite apt, & was halfway between our locations.
The pub at monument was very busy but we did manage to find a table & enjoy a fish platter with chips & a bottle of wine for £10 each. Who said London was expensive?!
Quite a busy day, but back home by 23:00. Good times.
