AJ & David were still feeling the affects of their journey from California & were unable to get up till after 13:00. By this stage the rest of us had headed down to the beach for some more sunbathing & frolicking. When they did join us, Amanda and Stefan organised a paddle boat with a slide on for an hour. Everyone had lots of fun but I only went down the slide once as I was dubious about its safety. The ladder shook violently with every step and it was quite tiring to climb out of the water and too the top. I instead made sure we did not drift too close to those swimming. I left everyone on the beach as I was feeling the heat and retreated to the hot tub and shade.
Later Amanda Stefan & I returned to the scene of our dip in the sea on Saturday evening for some prawns and sardines.
Taking the time out to do this nearly caused us trouble as we were due to travel to Puerto Banus by boat with the others going by car. Thankfully being the summer season they had an extra boat departing at 18:30. This boat left Marbella marina and deposits you just outside Sinatra's bar. This is where we rendezvoused with the group and enjoyed a glass of wine. We went for a walk around the marina before having dinner in a seafood restaurant next to Sinatra's. Amanda followed my lead and had Sea Bream cooked in salt. I believe everyone enjoyed their meal. To accompany the meal we had my mothers favourite wine if Vina Sol.
After dinner the usual triumvirate went to Linekars bar to watch what remained of the Newcastle 'game'. In hindsight staying for desert in the restaurant would have been a much more enjoyable experience. The remainder of the night was spent in the bars along this street. Stefan & Amanda got to see first hand the Brits abroad lifestyle, with some of the bar staff not speaking any Spanish. A friendly taxi driver took us back home. We opted to have one last drink at the Marbella Marina which none of us finished. We returned to the apartment and headed to bed like Ninjas as to not wake anyone. We succeeded in this much to everyone else's delight.
