The majority of our first day was spent on the beach sunbathing. The beach was busy as expected but we still found space for us to gather near the marina. Stefan, Amanda & I grabbed some tapas in Tiger Bay, a bar overlooking the marina and promenade. Before dinner we made use of the hot tub on the deck of the apartment.
Allen had scouted out a tapas restaurant on the same street as the apartment. No one was quite prepared for the fast paced tapas that ensued. The waiting staff constantly arrived at your table with different tapas and you helped yourself. In a similar fashion to sushi they then count your sticks/swords at the end of the meal to determine your bill. It was certainly an experience. We took a stroll along the promenade after dinner at a more serene pace to recover from the assault of food.
We finished the evening with some delicious Gelato and coffee in a side street in the old town.
