I started the day again with a run & some time in the park sitting in the sun. Stefan took a half day from work & we grabbed breakfast at a cafe around the corner from the apartment. Rather than rush out we then returned to the apartment for an afternoon nap.
At 15:00 we set off to the frying pan. This is a floating boat bar on the Hudson. I had intended to go here on previous visits but had not made it on three occasions. With only a short wait in a queue we finally made it on. As well as the boat there is a large pier with seats & bars. Being a Friday it was very busy with everyone enjoying the sunshine. We managed to nab a table for our bucket of coronas. Later in the evening Amanda joined us & we had some food. Before leaving we went on the boat itself. The waves had been quite large earlier & I didn't fancy starting the night off being ill. Much like our beloved tuxedo princess the frying pan has a dance floor on it's bottom deck. Nothing revolves down there though. As it was still early there wasn't anyone else down there & we explored the boat that had been reclaimed from the river bed.
Our next bar we selected at random & could only stay for one drink as it was very dodgy. We escaped & walked up to meet Sarah & her friend in a bar that had a giant pig statue outside. This bar was incredibly cheap but fun. With a stadium seat at the end of the bar. Amanda went to meet her friends whilst we headed to another bar for the girls to grab some food. After which Stefan & I then set off to a bar near 14th street on the west side. Here they did very nice jolly rancher cocktails a fun way to end the night. On our journey home Stefan & took turns in falling asleep on the subway but we made it back to the apartment by 03:30am.
