Thursday was slightly cooler than the previous days. Which helped for my morning run around the large cemetery in Sunnyside. At one stage of the run there wasn't longer a sidewalk & I ended up on quite a busy road. I stopped briefly back at the apartment before spending some time in the park opposite Stefan's first flat in queens.
Showered & changed I went to meet Tony in Flynns at 13:30 where we were later joined by Rich & Jen. I suggested to Rich the idea of going to watch the toon game in the cinema on Saturday morning but Flynns won out.
Soon it was time to head to midtown where I engaged in a key swap with Stefan in Bryant Park. Stefan was taking part in a live fantasy football draft. Seems a lot more organised than our fantasy football.
I met Eddie in Legends bar located close to Macy's. I had previously been here to watch Newcastle games. One of the strange moments of the evening occurred when a girl sat next to us at the bar wearing sunglasses, despite it being quite dark inside. I think she was a questionable character. Korea town was next on the agenda, we popped into a bar/restaurant that served Korean style chicken washed down with a matching beer. Eddie suggested Rock Paper Scissors for sorting the bill out here & then for the next place. Quite a simple way of not over complicating things. We went for more food at a restaurant where u helped yourself & then your plate was weighed to determine price. The food was excellent with a boiled egg soaked in soy sauce being my favourite. To accompany the food we had a drink similar to sake, & the Korean version of sprite. The food finished me off for the evening & I headed back to queens for 22:00. I'm yet to stay out beyond this time on this trip so far, perhaps a sign I'm getting old!
