Heat. That sums up today the best. The first day of summer did not disappoint with record temperatures recorded in different New York locations.
My day started early getting the train back from Connecticut. This express train made good time so I decided to get off in Harlem & walk across the park.
This proved to be a silly decision, as I had not fully appreciated how it was. After a slice of pizza, I stepped out into the heat.
Still in last nights jeans & jumper I was in completely the wrong attire. What should have been a nice walk turned in to an endurance march. Without that pizza slice I doubt I would have made it back.
Following a short rest & shower I took a walk to Grant tomb, in more sensible clothing. Still the heat proved too much & I returned to watch some television.
I met Sarah & her friend Jen at the Mexican restaurant Lime Jungle on 9th avenue for dinner. It was here we bumped into Tiffani Amber Thiessen of saved by the bell fame. This obviously greater quite a stir among the girls & conversation remained focused around her.
A drink was had after dinner in a Japanese Karaoke bar. Sarah & Jen doing a surprisingly good rendition of waterfalls.
