Wednesday saw Charlotte & the Silvers head off to Universal. Not as early as the parents and I got up to head to The Oaks Golf Course. This course we played at almost every time we visited Orlando. We of course had a 7 year absence after Simon Purdon & I sunk a golf cart in the construction works. That area now is all houses and all the holes now have housing around them. I cudn't get my swing going until the 15th, but still managed to grab a couples of birdies. This was a nice break from busy theme parks, & with no one bothering us on the course we zipped around. Hot Dogs in the clubhouse was a easy lunch, I picked up some souvenirs as well.
The whole afternoon I spent by the pool.
In the evening the three of us headed off to the Polynesian resort for dinner. On the way there is a short walk from the main hotel to the hut where the show takes place. Just as we were about to set off the rain came down in force & we got soaked along with everyone else attending!
This themed dinner features dancing from all the Polynesian Islands along with a hearty all you can eat and drink meal. I was the only one who managed seconds on the pulled pork & chicken. This meant there wasn't much room for sangria though!
