With some planning the night before we were up early enough to leave the house by 10:15 to go to Disney Hollywood Studios. Typically the sun had actually come out this morning unlike every other morning which we had spent by the pool which had been cloudy. Ah well off to the most indoor theme park there is!
Once we collected Allen & Ellen's tickets we were able to make fast pass arrangements.
Our first stop was the Great Movie ride looking back at some classic movies throughout the ages.
We took lunch at a fantastic silver service restaurant & almost all of us had the speciality Burger on the menu. None of us were disappointed that's for sure.
For nostalgia we popped along to the Little Mermaid experience, basically a short puppet & person reenactment of the film. After that we took in a brief film about the behind the scene crew on Star Wars. We all then doe rates at this point & I went for a walk around the park, to enjoy the sun.
Hollywood Studios used to be know as MGM. One of the attractions that remains, partly down to the new films is the Indiana Jones stunt show. It's good to see that the show is still showing the same scenes as it was over 20years ago.
My final ride of the day with Allen & Ellen was the Star Tours simulator. A short but fun step into the Star Wars universe.
We headed home around 17:00 just as the rain was starting to come down.
Allen cooked us dinner which we ate round the dining table in the villa.
After dinner Charlotte & I spent some time in the hot tub.
