Today we drove to Avignon. Around Avignon is a big wall. In the olden days the wall was there to keep the people safe. We drove into the old city through an entrance in the wall. It was very busy with narrow streets. We went to a big food market. There were lots of different types of food. There was seafood, fruit and vegetables, meat, cheese, pasta and sweets and lots more. Today we explored Lyon. It was wet and cold because it rained all day. We took a tram up the hill to look at a big church which looked like a castle. We paid a man in the street a couple of Euro's to make us nice hot pancakes that we could eat. We walked everywhere because it was too hard to find a park in Lyon.
