Today we had McDonalds for breakfast. Which is a treat for us. It is quite expensive over here. We drove to another town Aix en Provence. Not far from Marseilles. lots if students live here. We had to find a doctor because I have a cough that won't go away. It is difficult to find much open on a Monday in some places. We booked a Hotel and asked for directions. It was very difficult to find the Doctor. Dad said it was the hardest city to drive in since Paris. We got very lost over and over again. For the 1st time the people didn't seem so patient with our driving. We eventually found the Dr's and it was so busy. We waited for over 1.5 hours to see a Doctor. You didn't make appointments and there was no reception you just had to remember where you were in the line. You would then introduce yourself to the Dr when he would come out of his office when helping someone. The Dr said I had a bronchial infection and he prescribed some antibiotics. Next stop a pharmacy to try to get the prescription filled without speaking English! Dad says our Hotel room reminds him of being in a hospital. Lots of white and cold tiled floors. We try to stay in cheaper accommodation because there is four of us. It means we stay in quite interesting places. We book online a day before or we just turn up. You never really never know what you are going to get until you arrive. Dad was tired from a lot of driving so he fell asleep on a couch and didn't even make it to bed.
