We travelled up the north shore of Nova scotia all the way from Digby to Pictou which for most people is merely a stopping off point for a trip to Prince Edward Island which is why we were there. The south shore of Nova Scotia is where you find all the lighthouses and forested rocky coves. Luckily for us the weather was good. We drove to the border crossing and the girl in the booth asked the usual questions like do you have any firearms or weapons, any alcohol, mace of pepper spray to which we answered no. She then stamped our passports and told us to go proceed to the customs office whereupon they told us they would need to check out the vehicle.
