Meikles Adventure
Fitzgerald National Park – real American sounding name. Really beautiful here. Its supposed to be some kind of biosphere here, all these little worlds working together to make a functioning whole.
A fire built, Sach is absolutely loving having all this dead wood around and so cold you just gotta have a fire to keep warm! Took a drive over to Bremer Bay – down to an estuary and over the sand to this little town on other side – good thing the tide wasn't in tho! A bit of an accident against a tree on the way – tail light busted to a couple of bits when driving through a mucky mudhole, gets a bit of a worry sometime that we could be hopping out of the car and trying to winch it outta the mud – oh ohhh!
Lots of pelicans on the estuary over to Bremer Bay and we saw a whale far out, walking out on some rocks and dunes after a bit of a hectic drive through bushes – lotsa scratches on "the ol’ beast". Gorgeous beaches around these parts, SA and WA – we’ve been loving the beaches!
In Bremer Bay the girls got a chance to go play in a really nice park, not one pub in the place, but it seems like quite a few services for kids and families.
Sach got his bait & had to stop on the beach for a fish. Far to windy for my liking though, the kids went for a walk down to the pelicans on the bay side of the town and Sach went for his surf fish, down to his jocks after awhile – girls back pretty quick to get in the car out of weather though!
Camp & fire and fishing, supper & sitting around the fire until eyes want to close and we go to bed – this is the life!
