Today is another pretty boring travel day, so instead of talking about the nothing that I did all day I am going to tell you all about the people here.Group 3 is AMAZING!!!I'm pretty sure we got the best Oxford group ever. The girls are all girls that I would have loved and been good friends with at home and they guys are really nice and funny too.I think our group dynamic is different than a normal study abroad group. We hang out as a big group A LOT.We go out to dinner in groups of 30-50 at least a couple nights a week.It is funny how well we all get along. No problems so far, and the travel portion is almost over.
For the girls, they are all pretty tame. There is actually a pretty considerable group of us that barely drink at all.So that worked out nicely for me? I feel perfectly comfortable with all of them. The girls are so much fun to be around. They have really made this trip for me.We usually run around during the day making sure to see every important site and searching out the coolest stuff, but at night we watch movies, play games, or go out to an awesome restaurant. It is really funny to me that anyone of these girls I would have been friends with at home, but I never had the opportunity to meet them.So it has been really fun to get to know girls that I would not necessarily have ever met.The girls that I have been hanging out with are: Lauren, Jessie, Marisa, Meghan, Katie, Carrie, Carly, Malory, Danielle, Kristy, Kaitlyn, Alina, Casey, Vanthana (V) and Salma.Lauren is my roomie. We have known each other for 9 years and are also roommates in the apartment back at home.We have gotten along perfectly and have actually gotten a ton closer through spending so much time together.I love how different we are but at the same time how much respect and love we have for one another.Marisa, Meghan, Katie, and Kaitlyn are all my sorority sisters. It has been really great to have some reminders of home traveling with me.I would have been much more homesick without these girls.Carly, Casey, Alina, and Kristy are all Alpha Chi Omega's (the house right next to ADPi).They are so much fun.It has been really fun to get to know girls that are in a different sorority.Danielle is an Alpha Xi Delta, I actually had met her a couple times through a friend of a friend, but this is the first time I have been able to hang out with her.She is awesome!Jessie rocks my socks off!! We are very different from each other, but we get along so well.. I have really enjoyed getting to know her better!
The boys are funny.I actually don't know many of them very well, but what I do know is all good.Phillip, Brian, Trey, Henry, and Michael are my favorites!Brian, Phillip, Lauren and hang out a lot. They are really funny.Michael, Henry, and Trey are all in our bible study. They are super fun to be around. There are a couple pikes, a couple lambda chis, one beta, one delta chi, and one sae.
Basically? group 3 rocks hardcore!!!I must reiterate how incredibly blessed I have been to be surrounded by such amazing, encouraging, fun people!!
