Up at 4:00 am for early flight home. Hired taxi was a blessing. As we took off over Athens, I could see were the terrible fires were up against the coast that killed many people. Slept and missed the Alps. I had first class seat from London to Dallas. Nice..... watched 4 movies and dined like a queen. Quick through customs at DFW and home sweet home. What memories we have made!!! Now off to pack Grant for College !!!

Woke up about 7:30 this morning when could have slept in. Sat out on the beautiful patio overlooking the caldera and Oia and wrote in my blog for a couple of hours. The sun is out but not too hot yet. Morning uneventful. Breakfast served outside then packing. Grant and I are worried about the weight of our bags since I've added my souvenirs. Slept in late and woke to a cooler morning with cloud cover. Beautiful sitting outside watching the catamarans get ready for the day below us. Up early again for Herekilion Crete. Off to Palace of Kronnos which is not far from town. This is the large mionion population that date before Mycenae. The city was large and elaborate . They found original frescos here in beautiful colors. The stone throne is still in the throne room and the princesses chambers had blue dolphin frescos. My kind of lady.
