Another interesting day. Overcast but warm. Took the circular ferry from Westminster Bridge to Bankside. Explored the Globe theatre and then the Tate Modern. Most of that very odd!! Very good sail up the river with commentary to Greenwich with beautiful views and lovely warm weather. Had lunch outside with views of Cutty Sark and the river with HMS Ocean there to protect the Olympics. Toured Cutty Sark which was very effective then went in the pedestrian tunnel under the Thames. M and H headed back and we continued to see the painted Hall, Chapel, Discover Greenwich, the Maritime Museum and the Equestrian Olympic venue. Lovely atmosphere wi...

Walked to the Ladies Road Race start the went to lunch at the RAC and watched the race on the big screen which was very exciting. Home to change then taxi to Marble Arch to J and Bs for reunion including J and G and champagne then off to Michelin starred Galvins. Lovely dinner and a super evening with lots of chatter and laughter.

SO EXCITING!!! Sitting on The Mall right on the start/finish line of the men's road race!! Got here at 8.20am for a 10.00am start. Wonderful wonderful day! Worth every penny and more. Very hot here. An absolutely lovely day with a super trip up the river to Kew. Loved it! Excellent commentary and a wonderful bonus of meeting the Torch being rowed in a mini flotilla in the other direction. Magnificent and emotional actually. Very pleasant couple of hours in Kew then the return journey. Met S at the RAC for dinner and to watch the wonderful opening ceremony for the Olympics.
