The water at 9am this morning on our journey out of The Keys was far too tempting to miss. A quick stop at Bahia Honda State Park had us all swimming in the lovely, warm, clear waters. Breathing a sigh of relief we left Miami en route to The Keys. Both Nick and I had this picture in our heads of a picturesque drive with small towns breaking up the route - we were wrong! It's hard to describe really, just one long road with boat yards and restaurants and hotels lining each side. A lovely 5 mile morning stroll (although we did need to keep crossing the road to avoid direct sunshine) built up our appetite. After picking the car up yesterday we heads out to Bill Baggs State Park. It was HOT, very busy and being numpties we hadn't even taken any water - how daft are we!? 40 degree heat and no water. After a long, tiring and delayed flight, we made it to our hotel just before midnight last night. We took the choice to leave the hire care where it was for the night and call the hotel shuttle. This turned out to be a good idea as we now know how to drive to the hotel when we go back this morning.
