A nice short journey today brought us to Albuquerque by mid morning and we had a lie in this morning too (until 0745!)
The plan was to take a tram ride up Sandia Peak but being crammed into a car for 20 minutes with 40 odd other people changed our minds - at this time of year the ski lifts only run at weekends although none of the information tells us that!
So, we had a nice wander around the Old Town - some lovely little shops where I finally found an iron Route 66 shield.
Another nice hotel with a balcony overlooking the pool, so, guess what we're doing? ...You know us too well!
Tomorrow we head to Gallup via a volcano and an ice cave (31 degrees F - can't wait!)
