It's aunty Joan's 60th birthday (hard to believe, she doesn't look it!) so we headed down to Manchester for a family get together and celebration.
A little sad to leave Sedbergh again, feels like we've only just arrived, and we missed so many people that we'd hoped to catch up with, just because we ran out of time.
We stopped for breakfast on the way, and Will spent a bit of time watching the cars go underneath us at the motorway bridge.
We got M&S food for breakfast, so I felt thoroughly spoiled, and Will managed to devour nearly an entire punnet of strawberries by himself.
Then we got to Manchester just in time to beat the Davage's there, much to their annoyance.
Joan and Dave took the entire family out for lunch, and it was great to be together. The children were completely hyper, and in awe of the 'never ending' ice-cream which they were allowed to keep refilling. Elisha ate two bowls!!
We had great fun at the party, even when it poured with rain and the kids had to run halfway across the cricket pitch to get to shelter.
The entertainment was a folk band, and Sheila had written a comedy song in Joan's honour.
The next day we took the children for their first ever cinema trip, to see 'Cars 2'. William absolutely loved it, although he can't wait to tell grandma that the cinema has a bigger TV than she does. Elisha slept through most of it, which was great as I got to have a nice cuddle. It wasn't until we got outside that I found out she had stuck a sucked cola bottle in my hair.
Then we went up to Lancaster again to visit the city church plant there and have tea with some friends and meet some new ones.
That's pretty much the end of our holiday, so until our next travels...
...Ciao
