Eeeehhhhhhh!!!

It's hard to get things done in India, firstly there's the heat. Everything is at a lull from 1am 'til about 4 so it's a bad time to go to shops or get a bus etc. As well the heat is physically tiring, I tend to feel ready for bed once the sun's gone down. It gets dark very quickly over here too, once the sun goes down at 6ish all light very quickly goes - and then it's hard to get anything done!!! So Matt and I got up very early this morning and still didn't manage to get much done!!!

We went into Chaudi, the nearest town, in search of supplies to open the restaurant with. We'd been told there were shops there that would sell plates, glasses etc; and had hoped to get everything in one fell swoop. You can get everything BUT only in metal or flimsy plastic or with atrocious designs badly printed on. The plan now is to take a car trip out of state to a bazaar that will sell everything. At least this will only take 5 hours, rather than the two days needed for a trip to Bombay.

We're starting breakfast for the yoga students on Monday, so a deadline of three days to get ready. There's a bit more painting to do and I have to finish off our logo so we can get the menu accessorized up and looking pretty. We've a bit of construction as well - putting a thatch and legs on the "pagoda" roofs so the tables for breakfast will have some shade.

I'd better get on with some of it - before the sun goes down!
