Had a well earned lie in yesterday after our heavy night out. Spent the afternoon at the Lagoon with the Broomstick crew which was nice. Last night Jane and I had dinner with Nikki, Hayley and Mel before they left to go to Rainbow Beach/Fraser Island. Not sure if we will see Nikki and Hayley again but Mel will be in Brissy when I get there and is also looking for 4-5 weeks work so we had a quick chat about possibly getting a twin room to share at a hostel or maybe even a flat if its cheap enough. Thought it was a really good suggestion and will be nice to buddy up with someone in the city. Jon and Dave are also hoping to get work in Brissy around the same time so hopefully I will catch up with them too. We might even be able to get a flat for the 4 of us if its cheaper and easier. Will have to see what the situation is when I get there. After dinner we went for a walk to the Marina and had a few drinks with everyone at Beaches bar before getting a relatively early night - 1am hehe. Checked out at 10am this morning and just spending the day chilling and catching up. Our Greyhound bus to 1770 doesn't leave until 10.55 pm which is a bit annoying - 9hr 30 min coach journey to look forward to ahhh! Hopefully there will be a couple of films and we can sleep most of it. Getting the overnight bus is a bonus really because it means we don't have to pay for a nights accomodation. 2 nights planned in 1770 and then onto Rainbow Beach to do our Fraser Island tour. Mike and Paul are doing the same thing so we are hoping to book the same Fraser Island trip with them which will be really nice. Paul has lost his passport for the second time, silly boy. Great lads though and would be great to do the tour with them.
