Woke up and checked out of the Hotel at 10 am. Marc still sick and now Sean starting to get a sroe throat! Had a quick bite at Starbucks and caught the Shinkansen back to Osaka. Evertime I travel on one of the bullet trains it just blows me away how clean and efficient the whole japanese railway system is. Makes us look like we are in the stoneage. We had a nap when we got back as the boys energy levels aren't the best. Showered and left for the Adelaide game at Gamba Expo 70 stadium. We bought away supporters tickets because we thought it would be cool to hang out with the Adelaide fans. Luckily we did or they wouldn't have had anybody there! The group consisted of one die hard Adelaide fan 4 Japaense guys he had met in a bar before the game and suggested they come along and 3 Mariners fans who had made the trip after the nagoya game like us. 2 funny stories from the game, firstly after Sergio Van Dyke scored we all started jumping and screaming for a minute or so and then there was a deathly silence before the Gamba fans had a chance to start chanting again. One of old mate from Adelaides japanese friends says..."Good play Sergio"...might not sound very funny but at the time we laughed our heads off! The other funny thing was with about 10 mins to go they started deploying a ring of tough looking security guards in anticipation of God only knows what? I mean I'm not kidding, there were 8 of us standing there and down the other end with not a security guard in sight I might add, was 5 thousand screaming Gamba fans!
After the game we headed back to Namba and caught up with Makoto at the the Mystery trip. The barmen we met last trip Yabu only works a few days a week so it was the first oportunity for Sean to meet him. He is a cool guy and plays some very cool tunes. Had a few beers then called in for a quick chat with Kosuke at the Bar Courage. We walk in and he says.."Ahh Sean good to see you!" made Seans night. Grabbed a late night Ramen and hit the sack!
