Day 2

Marc arrives! We met him at the station without incident which is amazing as the place is a bloody rabbit warren! Walked him back to the shoebox and gave him a cold beer. To his credit he didn't blow up deluxe as I expected, I guess your kids can surprise you after 24 years. We had brought with us a bottle of Fireball whisky as a gift for the owner of the bar we went to all the time last trip. Get this, the barman that worked for him is in the bar and he informs us the owner has opened a new bar around the corner romantically named Bar Soiree, my first thought was "s*** I didnt think we had drunk that much last time we were here...." anyway we had a quick drink then went to the new bar. He was amazed in a typically Japanese way with his gift which was cool. Our mate Makoto arrived so we all had a drink, Sean decided to switch from beer to double Vodkas which I thought was very responsible of him. We then walked to our old stomping ground the Mystery Trip Bar, the old barman had left so the owner was running the show. Cool guy, we had a few drinks and then got Ramen on the way back to the hotel.
