We arrived in Koh Tao and got pushed off the ferry and up the pier, we barged through all the people trying to tell us to stay at their resort and onto the main strip. We walked towards Save Bungalows which Martin had recommended but it was either £6 a night with an outside toilet and shower or £11 a night with an inside toilet and shower. We quickly left telling them it was way to expensive and started walking and asking people where to stay. We finally found a lovely bamboo hut, with outside toilet for around £4, perfect I thought it looked so comfy……but apparently not good enough Rachel wanted an inside shower, something about not having showered for over 48 hours. So we carried on walking and finally found somewhere with shower and toilet inside for around £6. We paid up got refreshed then went to head out, on the way out we asked where the safety deposit box was and they just smiled and pointed at our Cupboard, I asked if they had a key and the response was no. Great safety box I'm sure the thieves haven't worked out how to open cupboard doors yet. "Well never mind but can we have some toilet paper please" blank look on her face, please don't make me do the action of what toilet paper is I thought. She said there was none available…..great. "Well never mind can you give me the Wifi password?" she smiled and said "yes" and rushed off to get it. At last something gone right….or has it. She came back with it handed it over, I tried it and it came up 'mismatched password'….great. We asked again and she gave us the same password, no love I said this one doesn't work. She then took us to some other…….person, we are still not sure whether they are male or female but they had very long painted nails. We handed over our laptop and the person entered the password, once again it failed. The person then explained that it was the correct password and that they were a IT professional…. Who also worked as a hairdresser, I know I shouldn't stereotype but somehow I didn't believe them. The person tried the same password around 6 times, yes sure its gonna all of a sudden work with the incorrect password if you enter it enough times I thought. Then I gave up and told the person not to worry.
We then headed out for a walk to explore the streets and walked on the beach for a bit. We then decided to go for a hike to another bay area. We got slightly miss directed and after 2 hours ended up getting to a mountain area overlooking a few bays which was pretty nice. But just before reaching the restaurant Rachel unfortunately got a migraine, so we sat on the side of the road for a while for her sight to come back then headed to the restaurant for a drink and rest while she recovered a bit. I then asked them if they could sort a taxi out for us and they said no taxi's came up there. So we started the long walk back not sure if Rachel would make it with the migraine. Then a 4x4 driver pulled up next to us and asked if we wanted a lift, we quickly dived on the back with 11 locals who didn't speak English and might have been planning to mug and kill us. But we were back in town in no time, and when I tried giving the driver money for his hassle he refused so very kind.
We then had a bit of a relax in the hotel and headed to a local restaurant for a burger and chips mmmmm, before I took Rachel back to try sort her head out.

Claire G Aww Rach, hope you are feeling better. Weirdly I worked out the dates and I also had a bad migraine on the same day! We must be in sync! Lots of love xx
