So I kinda really want to write about Nuremberg and Bamberg, but I suppose I should get Konigstein out of the way while it's still somewhat fresh in the mind.

We went there on the Sunday of the Stadtfest to see the castle. And honestly, we probably shouldn't have really bothered. It wasn't really that great at all. The 45 minutes hike up there was nice. And the walk back down via the freeway was interesting and pretty bloody scary, but everything in between was kinda meh.

It just wasn't really all that much of a castle once you were inside. The gatehouse and the walk up there was kinda cool. But on the inside it was just a bunch of buildings with very little of interest inside. Even the amory had b***** all weapons or armor inside. The best thing about it was really just the view.

As we left we waited for the bus but then decided it was too expensive so we decided to just walk back down. But we took a different route than the way up and found ourselves walking along the side of the freeway. There was really no room to walk on the side so we were literally just walking along the white line on the side with cars zooming by. That's an experience I don't wish to have again.

The best part of the day came when we were sitting at a table having some currywurst, bratwurst and beer from a little roadside vendor. We were just talking and then one of the guys at the table across from us just leans to the side and lets one rip. It was just so casual and so loud. We laughed so hard that after a while we were just laughing at each other laughing. And then eventually got stuck in a giggle loop that whenever we manage to stop laughing a little muffled squeak from one of us just sent us off again. Must have laughed for a good 10 minutes.

The next night was my last night in Dresden and we went bowling again. But this time with a larger group of 15 or so. Some of which just played pool and the rest bowling. That was another great night and some great photos were taken.
