We arrived in Porto just in time to head out to the only Irish bar in the city to celebrate St Paddy's day (which was basically the perfect day to end the road trip on). Day 11: We had a nice sleep in today, which turned out to be a bit of a shame, because it meant we couldn't really do much. Part of the fault has to be put on the tourist information centres though, of which there was two, both on siesta from noon til 2pm. Day 8: Today we left Lisbon and handed a bit more inland towards Castilo Branco. It was a pretty nice drive to get there through some hilly terrain with lots of nice little winding roads which are always fun to drive on. One thing we've noticed however is that the Portuguese drivers are pretty insane, particularly when it comes to overtaking. They don't seem to care what the speed limit is or if they're coming up to a blind corner, or hell, even if they're actual...

Day 7: Spent the day with Patricia in Belem today. This was apparently where a lot of great things to see in Lisbon are, and most of them are free on Sunday. Just a shame we hadn't actually realised this on Sunday. In the end I don't think actually paid to go in anywhere anyway, so that was fine. Day 6: Sintra was absolutely amazing. One of the best days we've had so far. It was a little tricky getting there due to the nature of the roads in Lisbon and a map which wasn't fantastic. Probably no shortage of human error either. But long story short; where we were suppose to be going west we somehow ended up going east and not only that, managed to miss an exit we should have taken (after already going the wrong direction) and ended up going across the longes...
