It has been quite a while since I've made an update to this. It has been a crazy couple of weeks all starting with Oktoberfest. I haven't been able to upload any photos yet as I had my laptop stolen. I'm writing this from an Internet cafe in Milan.

Im really not sure what there is to write about Oktoberfest really. It was just a crazy 3 days of basically drinking from noon until about 10 or 11pm. I met a crazy bunch of Aussies and one South African who is now living in Australia and I spent most of the 3 days with them.

We spent a little bit of time exploring Munich, but not much. I think perhaps some time in the future I will go there during a quieter period and see more of the city itself.

Over the 3 days of drinking, these guys were able to convince me to buy a plane ticket to Barcelona, and this is basically where the trouble really began. For a start I booked the ticket through a website called edreams which is the same site Saul (the South African guy) booked his through, only I did it after a day of drinking. So we get to the airport on the day we need to leave a few hours early as I hadn't actually received any kind of confirmation email only to find that the desk of the airline we're flying is empty. So we go to get dinner.

We come back an hour or so later and now the check-in is open, so we go to try and check-in only to find that neither me nor Saul's booking has actually gone through. So we go back to the desk of the airline which now has someone there and we try to sort it out. Long story short, after messing around with her saying we either needed to fly in the morning or take the next flight but not have time to check-in our bags we managed to get the manager on the line and get it all sorted and both us and our bags were on the way to Barcelona.
