After breakfast at the motel (and the kind donation of some pancakes from Nicki &Neal) we drove up to Logan for a double birthday celebration and barbecue at Scott & Jenny's. I say double because as a strange coincidence, both Sallie - Jenny's mum and Scott's Mum Bev were born on the same day in the same year. Our pic is of Bev & Sallie cutting their joint birthday cake.
The girls all tended to congregate in the kitchen and the blokes nested outside with a few chilled beers to watch the Bathurst 1000 km car race. Mmm - Oz or what?
After and excellent barbecue (thanks Scott!) we drove back north. Gill took over for the last part to give Sallie a break - her first go in an automatic after dark, but she rose to the occasion and we arrived home safely.
