Today we had an early 4am pick up our driver was waiting for us to take us to the airport.
We boarded our first flight to Heathrow a packed plane with mostly Romans going on holidays.
Then boarded another flight to Edinburgh. Weather turned unfortunately and our first glimpse of Edinburgh was dark a sky.
We were picked up by Brian's cousin Helen and her daughter Kate in a two door hatchback. It was rainy, windy and cold and we now had to task of trying to get our two large suitcases and a couple of small bags into Helen's car. This was a sight to be seen but with determination we managed it.
Quiet afternoon of catching up we had dinner and then went up to Brian's Uncle Jim for a catch up with him, Aunty Anna, and cousins, Claire and Katherine along with Helen's husband , Bill and Catherine's husband Alex.Brian indulged in a couple of whiskies (wee dram) with his Uncle and talk about old times. We have been made very welcome and look forward to seeing the sights of Scotland.
