First full day in Rome. After a late and leisurely breakfast and yet again more croissants, ham and cheese we take to the streets of Rome. After 2000kms and five days we have successfully driven from Paris to Rome. We were so happy to hand over our loyal car to the Avis depot at Rome airport. It was a great trip and we wouldn't have been able to get to some of the places we visited without a car. San Gimignano one of my favorite places so far. Today we arrived in the beautiful Tuscan hills of San Gimignano. We left Venice after our visit to St Mark's and the must do gondola ride. Our gondolier spoke good English and after knowing we were from Australia greeting us with a 'good day mate ' he was very informative and we enjoyed our ride and history lesson. We have awoken up in the beautiful Tuscan Hills of San Gimignano I think I am in love with this place. I keep thinking of the movie under the Tuscan Sun and I am really in the movie.
