Thursday 14/8: picked up by our personal tour guides ( Claire, Helen & uncle Jim) and headed off to Pitlochry / kilicrankie / queensview. First stop kilicrankie and we walked down to soldiers leap .... historic spot ( Jacobite uprising) in a deep forest, some lovely views though as we make the trek down. Brian resisted the offer from
uncle Jim to buy him a bungee ticket. We sat down to Helen's picnic which was the envy of other picnickers as we dined on a paper table cloth and real plates ..... we were living like kings. It was then off to queensview where we were treated to some magnificent views ....very spectacular. Off then to Pitlochry and some shopping and a well earned drink. The town is full of quaint old world homes and shops. Visited the dam and salmon ladder but sadly no salmon jumping today but we were treated to a fly past by two RAF tornadoes. Off home and finished the day with a very nice meal at the green hotel. Thanks to our personal guides and their hospitality ..... Great company and great day WOW!
