Today we arrived in the beautiful Tuscan hills of San Gimignano.

We left Venice after our visit to St Mark's and the must do gondola ride. Our gondolier spoke good English and after knowing we were from Australia greeting us with a 'good day mate ' he was very informative and we enjoyed our ride and history lesson.

Back on the ferry and train to collect our car we leave the beautiful and busy Venice behind.

We have a 3-4 hour drive ahead of us.
Siri gets us back on the motorway and off we go. A little stressful again but I know what is ahead if us beautiful countryside we hope.

We see signs to Bologna then Florence then Siena and know we are heading in the right direction.

Once again Siri our best friend gets us here and it is more than what we imagined.

We are out town high on a hill just what we wanted.
We settle into our room which is on the third floor with views out to San Gimignano.

We can relax now a couple of beers by the pool and then a couple more over looking the hills, we decide to have dinner here tonight a BBQ of sorts Tuscan style.

Tomorrow we head out to the city of San Gimignano and Pisa.

I am living the dream under the Tuscan Sun.
