Day 3.. Monday....
A picture says a thousand words so they say. This of course is the Mona Lisa.
We arrive at the Louvre and queue with thousands of others is go inside to see the famous Mona Lisa.
The sign where we get on the end of the queue tells us it is 2 hours from here to get inside the Louvre. We look at each other and agree that it is not everyday you get go inside the Louvre to see the famous Mona Lisa, so we decide to deal with the crowds and queue.
Surprisingly it only takes 30 mins and we are heading inside.
We pay our 12 euros each in exchange for a map and head off to find her.
We are completely lost and have no idea how to read or understand this map, there are Louvre staff inside at varies points and we continually say where are we and point to the picture of Mona Lisa.
Let's just say the French have no idea of how to plan and draw up a map that's makes any sense.
We do however find her, there would be a couple of hundred other people at the same time have found her and getting anywhere close is going to take forever. We perverse and get about 10 depth put the camera up as high as possible and take a couple of photos.
We have achieve what we set out to do and head off to find the exit no mean feat we do however take in a couple of other famous things like The Wedding Feast and Aphrodite.
We head back to the Metro stopping to pick up a couple of souvenirs and some lunch and home for a rest before dinner on the Eiffel Tower.
Dinner on the Eiffel Tower would have to be the highlight of our trip so far. Amazing place we had a fantastic 3 course dinner and drinks of course French champagne.
Dinner started at 9pm so we saw the sun set and beautiful it was. Nearly 10pm before it was completely dark and then the lights come on the Tower just beautiful.
A lovely way to spend our last night in Paris.
Tomorrow we pick up our car and head towards Italy. Just need to get out of Paris that will get the interesting part
