Georgie's world!
hey!! this is my last home in new zealand! cant believe we are finally in auckland...the place me and maz flew into 5 weeks ago (and then straight out again to Christchurch!)...absolutely crazy! i dont know where the time has gone and we are starting to talk about another country already! this place feels like home and i will definately be sad to leave it all behind!! but i guess thats the nature of travelling and there is plenty more to see and do...auckland is just like any other major city i guess! big buildings, shops, restaurants and multi cultural society - the bridge is an amzing feature as is the sky tower and harbour though - definately its distinguishing features...i wouldnt mind kicking about here for a while!! ; ) meant to be going to one tree hill on monday so will update on what thats like...we arrived on thursday and headed straight into town...me and one of our friends signed up to jump off the auckland sky tower! great idea! woo! ; ) within half an hour we'd signed up, paid, got to the top, jumped off, fallen 630 feet and landed in the middle of the dart board on the landing platform!! absolutely amazing experience and such amazing views from the top of the city! team extreme rules! ; ) yesterday, to keep up with the new name 'team extreme' (me, maz, jo and roxanne - 2 of the crew we are travelling with) they jumped off the auckland bridge yesterday afternoon! what a place to bungy jump!! ; ) amazing to be up there - under the bridge at the jumping platform and you can hear all the cars overhead! ; ) saw the views of the harbour from out to sea and got great pictures of the skyline. we all headed into town last night as 2 of the lads weve been travelling with have moved onto fiji! we definately livened up a few of the local bars and made an impression on the sambuca bottle! ; ) chilled out today and sat by the water in a place called the viaduct - eating bread and chees and drinking wine!! hard life eh!! ; ) we are heading further up north tomorrow just on a day trip to the bay of islands. should be pretty stunnin and good to see a bit further north! got a free day on monday to do last minute bits before packing up again and heading to a new home for 8 weeks! will be sad to leave but new zealand definately has a lot of special memories and amazing memories of adventure, fun and 'living the dream'!!!!!! so hope all is great there and will be back on here asap...possibly from the land down under...take care and speak very soon...Georgie x x x
