What a cracking day! After a RUBBISH night's sleep (3am drunken stumblings from Irish roomies who turned lights on, crashed into things and talked loudly on mobile phones) we set off to see a bit more of Sydney.
First stop was the Paddy Markets which were a bit naff (Jim: "It's like Donny Market") and then we headed through the city to The Rocks and Circular Quay to see... Sydney Opera House! It's pretty awesome though photos were once again spoilt by the sh*te weather (grey and drizzly today, forecasted to be heavy showers tomorrow - boooo!). We also saw Sydney Harbour Bridge close up as we wandered to The Rocks Market. That was a lot nicer, all arts and crafts with the obligatory boomerangs on sale, so we browsed through there before eating our lunch in the Royal Botanic Gardens.
Right next to the Gardens is Government House which was very impressive. After a stroll around the building and the gorgeous gardens there, we headed back to George Street where Jim did some internet wooing and I checked out the shops. And this evening we went to see In Bruges at the cinema which was ace! If you haven't seen it, do so - I don't often laugh out loud at films but I kept guffawing. And I also hate Colin Farrell normally but he was good too.
We're off for a 10km walk in Manly tomorrow (bloody hell) so expect some very attractive photos of me in a kagoul!
Love you loads x x x
