Unexpectedly, I'm still writing to you from Christchurch! We've had a wee mix up with flights and it turns out ours was postponed until tomorrow afternoon, meaning we only have two nights in Singapore and that we slept on the floor of the airport last night for nothing! b*****. So we checked into a hotel on the airport complex at about 7am, slept until 2pm and then having been killing time all day (Jim found Premiership highlights on Sky and I went for a swim). ...

We've had a very quiet couple of days here in Christchurch, killing time until our flight out of New Zealand at 6.35am on Monday morning. Yesterday we were going a little bit stir crazy but today has been nice. I woke Jim with the news they were showing reruns of the Liverpool vs. Fulham and Manchester City vs. Arsenal matches on the hostel TV; I have never seen him spring out of bed so fast and I even got a hug! He is going to be glued to Sky Sports from Saturda...

Today we've officially said goodbye to long distance bus travel for the forseeable future, completing our final stint on the Magic Bus. Jim is over the moon! We left Tekapo early this morning and had a relatively short journey to Christchurch, stopping only at Geraldine for breakfast. We had another start this morning, getting back on the bus at 8.15am ready to leave Dunedin. But before we left the city we stopped off at Baldwin Street, officially the world's steepest street. When stood at the bottom of the hill I was full of bravado and was noisily proclaiming it had nothing on Sheffield. Catch up blog alert! We had a good day yesterday in Dunedin. Jim hadn't seen the sights so we covered them all in half an hour and then went to the cinema to see Ghost Town with Ricky Gervais. Not too bad and certainly funnier than Simon Pegg's last attempt!
