Today, was time to check out of the Bodego Hostel and head down the west coast of Phuket to the beach of Karon. I packed up and checked out, walked to the small shopping centre to have some breakfast, and a drink before getting a Tuk-Tuk to Karon!

Oh, I've been meaning to write about the traders of Phuket! Of course everyone wants you to buy things from them, weather it be suits, gifts, DVD's and offering massages. They say things like "Hello, look at my shop!". The guys from the tailor shops, go to put their hands out to shake yours, and as soon as you do, they won't let go until they have said their piece. I just make up a lie that I got one in Bangkok and walk on, although it would be nice to have a tailored suit made for Chris & Abi's wedding- but it might not fit in a year!
The women/lady boys that are offering massages say "Hello. You want massage"... And I'm not kidding that some of them grab you, and block the pathment, stopping you from being able to get past. A lot of these REALLY look like men, massive heads, and hands- slight stubble some of them! I try and cross the road when I can... Then they shout out where you going.. Lol.
My favourite thing now, is when people say, "G-Day Mate", And shouting "Ozzy Ozzy" at me. Everyone now things I'm from Austaila.. I think it has something to do with my tan. The other day, one guy asked me where I was from, and he said Australia.. I replayed guess again, as I continued to walk past- South Africa was his second guess- nope I shouted up the street, 3rd guess was New Zeland... And then finally he said England. It puts a smile on my face!

Anyway, I had breakfast and got a Tuk-Tuk to The Village Front Hotel. Which is a 4* resort by the Karon beach. It's the first hotel I have treated myself to, i was impressed. I just loved the fact it had a swimming pool. Only downside is there is a main road outside: but I paid only 20% of the normal price. So I'm not complaining. Checked into my room, the bed is massive, you could sleep about 5 people in it. I was in the top floor and had a great view of the lake & sea.
I decided I would check out the pool, and finally finished my book! Which is great, as I can now start the hunger games! It was still really sunny and hot, and I walked into the town to grab some dinner before the sun set, so I could watch it on the beach. The water is a lot different to Patong Beach- the water was clear blue, and rough. The waves crashed on the shore, even knocking people over!.
I thought I would go back to the resort and relax. It was a very chilled day. However that was my plan for the next couple days before heading back to CRAZY Bangkok!!
