Because the weather has been a bit crap in the last couple of afternoon with loads of rain and thunder storms! I decided I would get up early, and head down to the beach at Ao Nang, it about a 5 minute walk down the main street to the sandy beach! I was there at 9:30, and the sun was already our, and loads of people already sunbathing, and in the crystal blue water! It was so hot. You get people trying to sell you things, but I learnt if you had your eyes shut, they just walk on to the next person. I spent my time in and out the water, as I was getting way to hot, just laying their. By 12:30 I'd had enough, and started walking back up to the hotel, stopping at an Italian. Had a really nice calzone. Thank god this place had air conditioning. It then started to rain! I headed up to my room to shower off, and chill out. I've finally finished my book, it took about a week! It had a really good twist at the end! Didn't see it coming. Going to have to see if I can get another book now.
Had planned with Rachel and Cian to meet up again, and we were going to go to a local outlet store, up near Krabi airport. It was about 30 minutes away. We left Ao Nang in a scooter with side cart, that's the only was I can describe it. (I have pictures!). Alway we pulled into a local village, the 3 of us didn't have a clue where we were, but it wasn't the outlet store! Our driver then said that it's his home, and he was pointing at his kids, one was about 1 year old, and the other a few months sitting in a stroller. The man then ran down the side of his house...!? The next thing we see was him reverse in a Toyota up to the main road. He said swap cars, as the place we were going was too far in this home made cart! Lol.
The 1 year old just bursted into tiers as we drove away, screaming for his dad.
The outlet store was a bit of a let down, everything was expensive compared to Thai market prices, so kept my money in my pocket. We then got the driver to take us to Tesco's Lotus. Yep, you read correctly, they have Tesco's here! When you first walk in, it looks a bit like a department store, loads of small stall, units selling thing... Then you go upstairs, and it really looked like a Tesco's back fine.. Looked mad. Even the price labels were the same, and they had Tesco's finest.! I picked up a few bits and then had KFC! Returned back to Ao Nang, and said goodbye to Rachel and Cian before looking at all the market stalls on route back to K&L House.!
