Thank god I was able to sleep most of the way on the night greyhound bus to Agnes Water and 1770!
When I arrived a guy from the hostel was there to pick me up and drop me at the hostel. It was only 2 minutes in the car, but glad I didn't have to do that walk with my bag. The hostel was called Cool Banana's. Checked in, found my room and bed, slept for 2 hours until midday as I needed a power nap. Then remembered the old girl on reception never asked for my money! Oh well... I'm sure they will get me tomorrow. I was back on top form now, finally. Although I slept on the night bus, it feels like I've just come off a night s***. I wonder down to the small parade of shops and book my Scooteroo for this afternoon! It was a little raining, but they hoped it would go ahead. I had some lunch, and then walked back to the hostel as was being picked up at 2.
Sadly the Scooteroo was cancelled due to the weather but they rebooked me onto tomorrow, no big deal. I would still here anyway. I walked down to the Agnes Water beach, the rain had stopped and the sun was starting to come out. I say on the beach watching the surfers! Most could surf well, but I laughed when I saw people fall off their boards. The waves were a lot stronger here than the beaches further north.
I took a look around the shops. Before walking to the hostel, everything is really close and quiet. I took some time to sort out all the stuff in my bag, the main reason was because my bag got wet in the hold of the greyhound bus. Thank god most of the stuff was in plastic bags.
I walked down the shops one last time to get some dinner, I was going to cook myself something light, as there isn't really anywhere open to get food. I got a tin of soup and some bread and cheese, thought this would do a few lunches and breakfast. I opened the tin of chicken soup to find the soup looked like dog food. It looked sick. I just thought it would melt!? Nope I stuck my fork in the top, and loads of soup flooded the work surface. I smelt the tin, and then it all went straight in the bin. Yuk. In the end I had the tin of beans I have been carrying around with me for 2 weeks. Beans and cheese on toast! Classic. I ended up having a quiet evening. I just read my book in the hostel while other guys watched a movie. "Bridesmaids" I looked up everyone a fun bit was coming! It was pretty cold tonight. In fact I woke up and my feet were freezing. I had to dig out some socks.! A really quite and relaxed day! But I enjoyed it.
