When we got back to Kathmandu we arranged to help out with some dog catching at KAT. The volunteers are split into teams who work in different zones across the Kathmandu valley. We went to the eastern outer suburbs of Kathmandu early in the morning and cruised for dogs! The team were looking for unneutered females and any obvious rescue cases. We're now back in Kathmandu, for the last leg of our journey around Nepal. Now remembering what vitamins tasted like and taking in a few sights before our return to the UK. We shall be going for a trip out with KAT in the morning to go dog-catching, and picking up the last few souvenirs while we're here. Namaste!

Activities here include: went biking and saw a rhino and a crocodile, went for a jungle walk and saw a wild elephant (very rare in Nepal) which forced us to dash to the nearest observation tower for safety, and an elephant back safari today where we saw rhinos and sambur deer. We needed to get from Pokhara to Chitwan national Park. After spending far too much time on buses recently we decided by far the safest way of getting there was to take a small inflatable boat down some rapids for a couple of days! Great views all the way, with a nights camping by the riverside in the wilderness thrown in for good measure, arrived the next day damp but having had a great time rafting!
