From Lukla, we trekked along to Phakding. Google maps doesn't seem to recognise this place so we'll have to stay at Lukla for the time being... The main traffic is Yaks carrying baggage uphill to the Mountain resorts. Hot water has now officially ended... Altitude: 2800m

Scariest. Flight. Ever. We took a flight (via a Dornier 228 if you are interested) from Kathmandu to Lukla. Never before have I seen a grown man fill three (yes, three) sick bags. Fortunately this man was not me... Finally arrived after 2 days solid travelling! Saw the Himalayas from the plane as we came in to land - exciting! Kathmandu is unbelievably busy and noisy (think Delhi with more bells), the whole city smells of incense and cows. Off to Kathmandu Animal Centre now to drop off mountains of needles and collars. The dogs will be pleased with us.

All change for Kathmandu :) Stopped here to (a) top up with fuel (b) top up with chapatis and samosas and (c) fill up with noisy Tibetans. We all had allocated seats, but that didn't stop 250 people from brawling in the airport.
