We arrived at Corfu at 9am, went shopping for supplies and made our way down to Ipso where we would be leaving our stuff to go sailing. The captains and 1st mates went for their training, while we packet for the four days. They got back from training and told us that it was to windy so we wont be leaving today, so we stayed at Ipso for the night. We ended up sleeping on the boats Rae told us that we wouldnt need our sleeping bags, it was so freakin cold, everyone had such a horrible sleep, so lucky we were still at Ipso, so we went back to the bus and grabbed our sleeping bags before we left. The first night we ate a traditional Greek meal with bread and taseki dip, Greek salad with heaps of fetta, yummy. After dinner we went for 3 euro cocktails yum - we had such a good night drinking and dancing. When we were walking home Cam was so wasted that he started jumping on bins, cars, people, he was all over the place. We got back to the boat and he would not shut up.too funny. The next day we were allowed out everyone was so hung over, so heaps of people threw up and got sea sick. I was the designated Chef - it was so fun everyone else ate like crap sandwiches i made pastas and rice, salards, everyone on my boat loved it. Sailing was such a blast I sailed for about three hours and got a really good run with the wind, so we were always out the front. The next port we pulled into was on the mainland I had an outdoor shower with an audience of 10 old fat Greek men GROSS!! That night was fairly quiet we were all really tired from the night before! The next day of sailing was the best coz we were all well rested! The water was so amazing it was like navy blue silk so clear and so fresh we stoped for swim stops every few hours, it was so funny every time we stoped everyone had to go to the toilet so we would swim away from the boats and pee then join up together in the middle of the boats. Every nights dinner was superb - Greek salad, bread, dip, and a main each restaurant we were at was right near the water so we got to watch the sun go down. On our last night sailing the owner of the restaurant came out and showed us some traditional Greek dancing it was so fun. MAGIC - magic was the sailing leader of the trip, funny little German man in budggie smugglers who was a complete sailing Nazi. He always yelled at us making you feel like you are doing something wrong. His favourite sayings "reverse, neutral, and anchor" but he had a wired accent so when you thought he was telling you to do something you would do it and he would yell something else - understandable he doesnt want us to trash his boats. The last day we were given free time and so we wanted to go sailing big mistake we put our sails up and we nearly capsized the wind was so strong that it nearly pulled us over I was so freaked out that I dropped the steering stick and jumped on the side that was in the air. We decided to go back and moored up, but we ran into some trouble when we were coming in the wind was so strong so every time we came close to the shore the wind pushed us into all the other boats, so Magic was having a heart attack, we were getting stressed and sore from pushing the boat away from the other boats. After 10mins we managed to get the boat in and moored. After that we went and had a siesta on the beach.
