We set off early at 4:30 am for a long journey to Athens. We ended up sleeping outdoors the night before so we could just jump straight on the bus in the morning. We spent the whole day driving had a stop off at the Corinth Canal which was constructed by 600 Jewish slaves the canal was constructed for the cargo boats to travel through, todays cargo boats cannot use it as they are 10 times the size of the old ones. The canal was so pretty, the water was an aqua blue. We arrived at the campsite late so we set up had dinner and a few drinks and slept. The next day we set out for Athens - first stop was the Kalimarmaro (Olympic Stadium) were the first modern day Olympics were held. Next we walked up to the Presidents guard house out the front of the Parliament house. It was so cool we got to see the changing of the guards they do a funny little dance for about 15min. After - Shannon and I went to work out wot to do with our selves for 4 days in Greece, we booked ourselves into a hotel on Paros and we were set. Next we made our way through Plaka - nice little shopping area, then through to the Acropolis. Athens was nothing spectacular, nice shops, not many Historic sites. That afternoon while waiting for the bus we decided to go and sit in the national gardens. Big mistake this old man walked pasted us walked around to the back of us behind a tree and started masturbating gross!!! We decided to get up and walk away; he came out and was yelling at us for not letting him finish. So we yelled back SICKO!!! That night we had a huge farewell drink it was so sad we spent so much time with everyone and to think it was to be finished the next morning was so sad. The next morning was so teary. All the girls were crying, especially Micky she started me crying coz she was so upset that we were leaving. We then headed into town to find out hostel..yay conquerred the Athens metro..
