Ayr, UK to Belfast, UK. Another early start saw us to the ferry in Stranraer, about an hour south of where we had camped the night before. The downtime on the ferry gave us an opportunity to catch up on blogging (to get this thing up to date!) and to figure out our next moves through ireland (because it hasn't been planned bar the locations).
When we arrived in belfast, it was straight to the TIC to find a place to stay for the evening. After much deliberation we decided it best to stay in five star luxury accomodation in town. Camping will apparently only get you so far in Ireland! They do not do it as much as the English and Scots. After that was sorted, we walked to view all the murals in west belfast, an area that was caught in the middle of the 'troubles'. It was interesting, but tense.
Dogs were barking (feet were sore), so it was time for a lovely pint of guinnss. Had some good chats with locals and a lovely pub meal. The rest of the evening was spend enjoying our 5* awesomeness (aka sleeping indoors in a comfortable bed!)
