This morning we hit the ground walking and continued to do alot of that all day! First up we caught the train from Queens (where we were staying) to Manhattan Island, and then made our way to Times Square - I guess the hub area of Manhattan Island. Farout, so many screens and lights and so much visual stimulation going on there!
We made sure we got a slice of NY Pizza for breakfast and then caught the Staten Island Ferry, which is free, and gives you a fairly good view of the Statue of Liberty, NY City, and Brooklyn Bridge.
We took a wander to Wall Street to ensure our financial portfolios were in order, then on to "Ground Zero" - the site of the 9-11 attacks on the Twin Towers. Brooklyn Bridge was good to see as was the UN Headquarters Building.
By now, the day was getting on, so we headed over to the Rockefeller Centre and considered a bro-mantic evening ice-skating, but realised there was more to see, so we pushed on...
We made our way up the Empire State Building to catch a glimpse of the lights of New York City at night - what a city! Then we made our way back to Times Square to see the lights at ground level. By that stage, we had pretty much seen what we wanted to see...
