My eyes blinked open at 5am this morning, so I took advantage of this and took a gander at the portal.fo webcams. Still a little dicey weather everywhere, but it looked like a village named Midvagur was the least overcast.
I rushed through breakfast and packed up gear...so quickly in fact I left my satellite transponder on the desk charging. Oh, well...punt!
And, wonder if wonders, the city bus actually picked me up and hauled me to the ferry/bus terminal. Saved me 2.5 miles of walking!
I caught the number 300 towards Midvagur (the same bus that goes to the airport). I asked the driver to let me off in Midvagur, but he must have been dreaming of Danish pastries and blazed right past the stop. Luckily I had my phone gps on and hit the stop button, so he stopped a couple of hundred meters down the road. I think I'm learning something here, just haven't figured out what just yet. Although where I'm going is apparently one of the 5 must do/see sights, only one other got off the bus.
