Its cold, its wet, its rainy, its MELBOURNE!!! Yes I have actually gone back home to Manchester. Well it was only for one day but still wasn't expecting it as all of my clothes are 3/4 lengths and T shirts, it was a bit of a shock to have a day that was 6C. But anyway I survived. Arrived at the very swanky hostel where I proceded to get bladdered again (this is an expensive hobby). After a walk round this massive place I ended up going out with Holly and her crazy friends in Melbourne to find myself waking up on a leather sofa witha 50" Plasma in front of me. I definately knew I wasnt in a hostel then.

Melbourne is a little drab but its not a tourist city. Its probably a great place to work and live but you cant really get into the city culture in 4 days. That and my backpacker budget doesnt stretch that far in posh wine bars.

St Kilda is a really weird yet really cool place. Its like a smaller Brighton without the idiots. I'd definately come back here at some point, probably to re-live the amazing Great Ocean Road. Nothing much happening apart from the washer broke down, and after two dry cycles my clothes are still sopping wet through and are beginning to smell. Yeah I'm living on the edge. Got a good 12 hour bus ride to Sydney which I'm grately looking forward to
