Today we headed up the east coast from Hobart to Bicheno, Tassie turned on the weather, suns out guns out 19° had dad and I smiling ear to ear with clean bikes and open roads ahead. A stop in Orford for a coffee and toasted sanga beside the river before continuing onto Bicheno via Swansea. The roads were awesome highly recommended for any motorcycle enthusiast. Today was Day 2 in Hobart, after arriving cold and wet we dried off and had a good sleep. Waking refreshed and ready to sort out my starting problems with my bike. A call to Launceston Harley Davidson's service technician for a quick diagnosis, he suggested a new battery to see how it goes (although the current one is only 8 months old) Launceston is a 5hr round trip so a call to the local motorbike shop had me a battery by 1pm. Today we set off from Strahan heading to Hobart, the biggest ride of the trip and it started off with the heavens open. We had solid rain all the way. We travelled through Queenstown, admiring the waterfalls as we rode up and through the mountains. This is the best road for a motorbike Tassie has to offer. Today was a rest day for us, a full day in Strahan and a second night. I had a bit of a sleep in and we set off for a walk to Hogarth Falls, a 50min return trip was well worth the walk, due to recent rains the waterfall was at full flow. A walk into town for a decent coffee at the bakery and back to the accommodation for lunch and a few beers. Out for dinner at Risbys was local caught fish and chips and a local beer Moo Brew Pale Ale for me and Moo Brew Pilsner...

Today we set off from Cradle Mountain at about 10am there was still plenty of snow about. The weather was overcast but luckily the forecaat wind was not around making it a really enjoyable ride through the mountains. A little shower hit but the wet weather clothing stopped us getting wet and cold. The road took us through Tullah, Rosebery and Zeehan.
