Today we set off from Stanley, the weather was brisk but sunny to start the morning. Unfortunately Stanley's servo closed down and we had to ride out low on fuel, the next 20kms was a nervous one for both of us hoping we wouldn't run out. A fuel stop at a roadhouse along the way saved us and off we went enjoying the ride. Today we woke up in Penguin for the 1st offical day in Tasmania. Kicked off the day with a ripper breakfast and set off for a look around the town. The accommodation was awesome and the small asian lady who hosted us said if we accidentally left any belongings behind she would happily post them. After disembarking the Spirit and completing all the covid checks by customs we set off for our first ride in Tassie. A short 30ish minutes to Penguin where we checked in and rushed to the local pub (Neptune) for a late feed of Parmas and beer. The trip over was extremely rough, once we got out the heads we were in 2.5m waves, that later increased to 4m waves, causing the captain to close all the outside decks. Waves were crashing over the nose of the boat spraying the childrens playground on level 10 with water. Today we were up at 4:30am and set off 545am and after a few detours due to me getting us lost in the city we finally stopped and dad asked for directions at a 7/11 store, I had us in the right area but we were going around in circles. Boarded the Spirit, parked the bikes and hit deck 7 for a coffee and breakfast. Seas are expected to be quite rough and staff are advising to take sea sick tablets. Ride On 👊
